Responsibilities
Perform dimensional inspections using FARO Tracker and FARO Arm on components and assemblies
Operate and program CMM equipment or apply CNC machining/programming knowledge to support inspection tasks
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications using GD&T principles
Document inspection results and generate detailed reports for engineering and quality teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies and improve inspection processes
Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
Assist in developing and refining inspection procedures and work instructions
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
Related job experience can be substituted for education requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in dimensional inspection using FARO systems or similar experience
Experience with CMM operation and programming or CNC machining/programming
Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
Familiarity with ISO and ASME standards related to dimensional inspection
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Certifications in metrology, quality inspection, or CNC programming
Experience with 3D scanning and reverse engineering tools
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office
