Media Services Technician

Northeastern University is seeking a Media Services Technician responsible for operating and maintaining all AV equipment for live events within the Event Management venues. The role requires flexibility in schedule and involves providing technical services to ensure events run smoothly.

Responsibilities

Main responsibility is to provide technical services to ensure that the event runs smoothly
Act professional and provide great customer service to client and attendees
Initiate contact with event groups upon their arrival pre-event
Coordinate the event’s schedule with the client and share with the rest of the staff
Diagnose any technical problems and take the steps necessary to resolve such problems
Abide by and enforce all fire/safety rules and regulations in the event venues
Maintain an orderly work area as well as ensuring the AV storage areas are organized
Notify full time staff when inventory is low or equipment is found not working properly

Required

Knowledge of AV equipment is preferred
Applicants must be outgoing, dependable and be able to provide quality customer service and possess the ability to solve problems quickly and courteously
