Develop and sustain a strong, externally funded computer science research program
Conduct collaborative and interdisciplinary research
Publish in top venues
Supervise graduate students
Teach undergraduate and graduate computer science courses
Mentor and engage undergraduates, as well as prospective students
Enhance Iowa State University through professional and institutional service
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or equivalent degree by start date in computer science or a closely related field
Evidence of a strong publication record in top-tier conferences or journals
Demonstrated leadership in the field
Demonstrated ability to maintain an externally funded research program
Demonstrated ability or potential to lead large research projects
A record that meets the standards for tenure at Iowa State University
Preferred
Scholarship that expands the Computer Science department's current research strengths in Artificial Intelligence
Demonstrated ability or potential to develop a high-impact, externally funded research program
Demonstrated ability or potential to excel in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Demonstrated ability or potential to engage in professional and institutional service and leadership
Demonstrated ability or potential to mentor research of undergraduate and graduate students
