Responsibilities

Lead pipeline design and analysis, performing advanced hydraulic and pipe design calculations for small to large-diameter water and wastewater pipelines
Develop detailed designs, specifications, and drawings for complex pipeline projects, including alignment studies, hydraulic analyses, condition assessments, pipeline rehabilitation, new pipeline design, and in-service commissioning, while maintaining compliance with regional regulatory standards
Familiarity with industry standards and publications and application of standards to design and installation of pipelines
Provide construction phase engineering support, including review of materials submittals conforming to contract documents, responding to requests for information, and assisting owner to confirm compliance to contract documents
Existing pipeline asset management including condition assessment and recommendations for rehabilitation or replacement of pipeline systems using various pipe materials and trenchless construction methods
Serve as a technical expert, leading or supporting multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring junior staff on project tasks and best practices
Contribute to client service and business development efforts by supporting client positioning, attending and presenting at technical conferences, delivering written reports, and attending client and stakeholder meetings
Write technical reports, maintain accurate project documentation, and support quality control processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or similar engineering field (Master's preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license; licensure in California, Oregon and/or Washington preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
10+ years of experience in pipeline engineering, including design, analysis, and construction support
Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations for water and wastewater infrastructure
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
