Legal Affairs Internship - Summer 2026
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business organization, dedicated to improving lives and strengthening society through business advocacy. The Legal Affairs Internship offers students an opportunity to support the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform by conducting legal research, writing memos, and participating in task force calls and congressional events.
Government Relations
Responsibilities
Conduct specific issue-related research
Write analytical memos
Participate in ILR member task force calls, meetings, and other important events
Attend/watch and report on congressional hearings and events
Qualification
Required
Currently holds a bachelor's degree and is pursuing a Juris Doctorate degree in law school
Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a changing environment
Excellent interpersonal and follow-up skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook
