Executive Vice President – Strategic Initiatives and M&A

The Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and M&A will lead strategy development and oversee the M&A lifecycle, playing a critical role in shaping the organization’s long-term direction and ensuring alignment across business units.

Responsibilities
Act as a trusted strategic partner to the COO, providing insight and guidance on business planning, market positioning, and long-term growth strategies
Partner with senior leaders, investors, and external stakeholders to design and execute initiatives that drive sustainable expansion and market differentiation
Lead and prioritize a portfolio of enterprise-wide projects, ensuring attention to high-impact, high-value opportunities
Develop and deliver board-ready materials and executive presentations that effectively communicate strategic progress, investment opportunities, and business performance
Oversee the full lifecycle of M&A activity — from deal sourcing, valuation, and due diligence to negotiation and post-acquisition integration
Establish a disciplined, data-driven framework for identifying and assessing acquisition opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals
Build and nurture a strong acquisition pipeline through proactive relationship management with founders, industry leaders, and advisory partners
Direct financial modeling, risk analysis, and synergy planning to ensure transactions deliver measurable value
Serve as a trusted liaison for potential acquisition targets, particularly founder-led or privately held organizations navigating complex deal processes
Champion alignment and execution across business units, ensuring that strategic initiatives are implemented efficiently and effectively
Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Legal, and HR to support seamless integration, operational scalability, and organizational excellence
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results-driven performance across the executive leadership team
Ensure that governance, policies, and performance metrics align with corporate standards and private equity objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate strategy, M&A, or strategic finance
Demonstrated success leading mergers, acquisitions, and integrations within a high-growth or private equity-backed environment
Strong financial and analytical expertise, including valuation, modeling, and deal structuring
Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across C-suite and investor audiences
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or professional services sectors preferred
