They are seeking a Proposal & Grant Writer to lead the development of compelling proposals and grant applications, working closely with various teams to translate complex capabilities into clear narratives for government and commercial partners.
Responsibilities
Research, draft, and edit proposals, white papers, and grant applications for federal, state, and commercial opportunities
Collaborate with technical experts to gather inputs and transform technical details into persuasive content
Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements (e.g., DoD, DOE, DARPA, NSF, etc.)
Manage proposal timelines, submissions, and supporting documentation
Monitor and identify new funding and contract opportunities relevant to energetics and manufacturing
Maintain a library of boilerplate content, resumes, and past performance materials
Support continuous improvement of proposal processes and win strategies
Qualification
Required
U.S. citizenship with eligibility for REAL ID, background checks, and defense-related compliance
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field
2+ years of experience writing proposals, grant applications, or technical content
Strong writing, editing, and research skills, with an ability to simplify complex topics
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Attention to detail and commitment to compliance
Preferred
Experience with defense, aerospace, or energetics industry proposals
Familiarity with government funding mechanisms (SBIR, STTR, BAA, RFP, etc.)
Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS)
Prior work on successful grants or contract awards in defense/tech sectors
