They are seeking a Family Law Paralegal who is organized and empathetic to support attorneys through various stages of family law matters and provide exceptional client service.

Law Practice

Responsibilities

Support attorneys through every stage of a family law matter—divorce, custody, post-judgment, and more
Draft pleadings, financial affidavits, discovery, and settlement documents
Communicate regularly with clients—answering questions, gathering information, and helping them feel supported
Manage add organize case files, court filings, and scheduling
Help prepare for mediations, depositions, and court hearings
Track deadlines, billable time, and assist with billing
Coordinate with courts and opposing counsel

Qualification

Required

1–5 years of paralegal or high-level legal assistant experience
Strong knowledge of Maine family court procedures
Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills
Comfort managing multiple active cases with competing deadlines
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and legal software
A calm, compassionate, and professional demeanor—especially when clients are navigating tough situations
