Responsibilities
Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries
Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of the production process
Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers
Oversee that process documentation, including work instructions and acceptance criteria, is created and up to date
Lead problem solving activities, conduct root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans
Implement lean manufacturing techniques – SMED, single piece flow, 5S
Ensure projects are completed on time
Work with in-house product design teams to optimize the design for manufacturability
Work with equipment designers, in-house engineering, and manufacturing staff to develop a cost-effective and working production process
Collect, record, and transcribe data
Show results in reports
Qualification
Required
Proven work experience in process engineering and/or manufacturing engineering
Excellent technical skills
Experience in manufacturing is required
Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo
Be able to think analytically and have interpersonal skills
Must be able to work in an un-airconditioned environment for a minimum of 8 hours per day
Preferred
BS degree in Engineering preferred, but not required
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
