Responsibilities

Develop strategic plans to achieve business objectives, monitor market trends, analyze competitor activity, and develop/meet/exceed your annual sales plan
Leverage your history of calling on major retailers, with expertise in Club channels, home centers, and E-commerce channels a must
Negotiate and close complex agreements with major customers
Apply a strong understanding of basic finance principles with a hyper-focus on driving profitable growth
Collaborate effectively with internal departments (such as marketing, product development, and customer service) to ensure successful project execution and satisfied customer needs
Drive all aspects of account initiatives through to fruition (Project Management), embracing and executing 80/20 time and project management as a priority
Manage manufacturer representatives, prepare internal account review details quarterly for the Executive Team Review, and act as an analytical thinker in driving improvements

Required

Proven history in new business development (gaining incremental new accounts) and extensive experience in account management
Expertise in fact-based selling, forecasting, sales analytics, and pricing/programming negotiation
Ability to manage and lead high-performance independent manufacturer reps
Fully embraces team collaboration and practices the philosophy that 1 + 1 = 3
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels
Comfortable with 25% to 50% travel to manage national accounts
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other business software
College degree in a related field
Positive, team-oriented attitude; fast-paced 'dot connector,' and always respectfully engages with others
