Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Review pre-processing and post-processing reports to identify and correct errors before finalizing payroll
Coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure timely Payroll funding and proper GL entries
Enter validate changes such as new hires, terminations, rate changes, and special payments (differentials, etc.)
Verify Overtime, shift differentials, premium pay, PTO, and unpaid time in line with federal/state wage and hour rules
Partner with manager to resolve discrepancies in timecards and ensure approvals are complete on schedule
Reconcile time and attendance data from the timekeeping system (ADP WFM) for all shifts
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc payroll reports for HR, Accounting & Finance, and management (e.g., headcount, overtime, labor cost)
Implement with month-end and year-end close activities related to payroll expenses and accruals
Complete year-end processes including W-2 review, reconciliation, and distribution
Participate in testing and implementation of payroll system updates, changes, and enhancements
Provide Service to HR and relevant department on system or policy changes needed to improve data accuracy and user experience
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree (degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business administration or finance) or equivalent practical experience
More than 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume, hourly manufacturing or industrial environment
Working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour regulations (e.g., overtime, meal/rest periods, shift premiums)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large data sets and reports
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and balance with deadline-based projects
High level of accuracy, attention to details, and sense of ownership over deliverables
