Responsibilities

Classify mortality risks in a sound, objective and consistent manner by applying company guidelines and philosophies with consideration for company profitability and marketplace needs

Sound financial underwriting and product knowledge is required along with an understanding of Symetra and life insurance industry practices

Handling and approval authority expectations are for at least $1,000,000 or based upon management discretion

Thorough knowledge of underwriting principals, practices, departmental procedures, insurance medicine, financial underwriting, field operations, product offerings and life insurance contract law

High School diploma or equivalent experience required
