The role involves performing inspections to ensure compliance of construction projects within local and state parameters, including conducting safety inspections and monitoring construction quality control.

Responsibilities
Conducts and performs construction project inspections for subdivision construction, county road special projects, road bond projects and utility relocations
Performs and documents public and occupational safety inspections and investigations including collection of data, case investigation and documentation
Conducts various on-site visits to conduct quality control on work being performed in compliance with the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
Samples asphalt and aggregates according to TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) testing specifications
Monitors third party sampling and collects data and analysis on compliance measures
Assists with public information requests and document management
Attends all meetings and trainings, as required
Performs special duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years of related experience in a construction capacity
Knowledge of construction materials, including construction materials sampling and testing
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and construction material tracking applications
Valid Texas driver's license (required within thirty (30) days of employment)
Preferred
Associate degree in a related field
One (1) year of experience in construction roadway including knowledge of compliance practice and procedures
ACI (American Concrete Institution) Concrete Materials Certification
Level 1 B Asphalt Inspection License
Stormwater One Training Certification
