NEOGOV is seeking an Accountant-Grants to perform professional accounting and financial management work related to federal, state, and local grant programs. The role involves ensuring compliance with grant regulations, preparing financial reports, and monitoring grant expenditures.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and post journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations for grant-related funds
Maintain grant budgets, including creation of budget reports for new grants, and financial tracking schedules to ensure expenditures align with funding requirements and approved allocations
Prepare and submit financial reports, invoices, and reimbursement requests to granting agencies in compliance with grant terms and conditions
Monitor grant expenditures and balances to ensure proper use of funds and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Coordinate with the Grants Administration and various other County departments to ensure timely reporting and resolution of financial issues
Assist with audits, monitoring visits, and financial reviews by providing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries
Maintain accurate and organized records for all grant financial activities in accordance with county policies and grantor requirements
Assist in the development and implementation of procedures to improve grant accounting processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Participate in grant closeout activities, ensuring all financial obligations are met and reports submitted
Assists in the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
Performs other related work as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree
Two years' experience in government accounting, general finance operations or closely related experience
