This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pump equipment at customer job sites and company branches, ensuring efficient and safe operation.

Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial pump systems (including diesel, electric, submersible, and centrifugal pumps) at customer sites and company branches
Travel to job locations for emergency repairs, scheduled maintenance, and equipment installation
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on all assigned equipment
Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to determine equipment malfunctions
Document work completed, parts used, and report any further service requirements
Communicate effectively with customers and branch personnel regarding repair status and timelines
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe working order
Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and Herc Rentals procedures
Train end users or customers on the proper use and daily maintenance of pump equipment as required
Participate in on-call rotations or emergency response schedules as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required; technical school or trade certification preferred
2+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in pump systems, heavy equipment, or diesel engines
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to obtain CDL if required
Experience with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and minor electrical issues
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and technical bulletins
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly, work outdoors, and travel within assigned region
Availability for occasional overtime, on-call, and weekend work as business needs dictate
