Estimator/Project Manager, Self-Performed Concrete
KCI Construction Company is a 100% employee-owned firm with over a century of experience in the construction industry. They are seeking an Estimator/Project Manager for their self-performed concrete team, responsible for developing estimates, managing budgets and schedules, and leading projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities
Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for all self-performed concrete scopes — including labor, materials, equipment
Review and interpret plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope and constructability
Perform quantity take-offs, validate productivity rates, and incorporate field feedback into pricing
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid reviews
Solicit vendor quotes and ensure scope completeness
Support the transition from estimate to field execution, ensuring a clear and smooth hand-off to project teams
Lead self-performed concrete projects from planning through close-out, serving as the main contact for clients, vendors, and field personnel
Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and work plans to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and field teams to ensure alignment on scope, productivity, and quality
Oversee procurement of materials and equipment; manage change orders and cost reporting
Promote a strong safety culture and uphold KCI’s standards of quality and integrity
Maintain consistent communication and documentation to support project success
Qualification
Required
5+ years of estimating and/or project management experience in self-performed concrete work
Strong understanding of concrete means and methods, crew production rates, equipment utilization, and material costs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Win Est, or scheduling software a plus
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and teamwork
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
