Responsibilities
Design various types of scaffolds and order materials as required to maintain work flow
Perform all necessary documentations i.e. delivery/pick up tickets, time sheets, extra work authorizations, safety plans, JSA’s and scaffold inspection checklists, etc
Act as a mentor and coach to the Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenters to aid in their development
Work with tools from time to time
Supervise a crew or supervise and direct up to (3) Lead Carpenters, who each run a small crew, to erect and dismantle various types of scaffolding under the supervision of the E&D Foreman 2 or E&D Supervisor
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenter for a minimum of 2 years or approved equivalent experience
Valid driver's license
Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights
Must be able to safely and effectively supervise a crew or supervise and direct up to (3) Lead Carpenters
Must have good knowledge of the OSHA rules and regulations regarding scaffolding
Must have a good knowledge and understanding of the various types of scaffolding material being used
Preferred
Some trade school preferred but not required
Bilingual a plus
