Risk & Insurance Analyst
AARP is the nation's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people 50 and older. The Risk & Insurance Analyst assists in the organization's insurance management program by coordinating data collection, preparing applications for insurance coverage, and managing claims processes.

Responsibilities
Gathers, analyzes, and coordinates the collection of data for placement of renewal and new insurance coverage in collaboration with insurance brokers and internal staff; updates property
Works with claims administrator and claimants to ensure claims are administered timely and appropriately. Provides expertise in the administration of claims related to workers’ compensation, general liability, auto liability, property, and other covered risks across a nationwide operation
Provides guidance and advice to staff across the organization who require insurance coverage or who need to file a claim. Coordinates with internal constituents to understand workers
Provides support to the Sr. Director of Insurance Management for broader risk management services, such as risk consulting to business partners, contract reviews, claims review, and
Performs contract reviews and evaluates appropriate insurance requirements for vendors doing business with the organization. Ensures evidence of insurance is received and renewed in a timely manner
Prepares statistical and narrative reports on risk management issues that identify, evaluate, and prioritize risks faced by the organization to assist the Sr. Director of Insurance Management in developing sound business recommendations for business unit initiative
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in related field with 5+ years experience with Risk Management
Ability to analyze financial statements, market trends, and industry developments, in order to forecast potential risks
Deep understanding of risk assessment and management methodologies, with excellent analytical and communication skills
Regular and reliable job attendance
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Exhibit respect and understanding of others to maintain professional relationships
Independent judgement in evaluation options to make sound decisions
Home office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate home environment noise

Certifications - ARM (Associate in Risk Management)
