The MIT Office of Resource Development is seeking an Assistant Director for Financial Planning & Analysis within Campus Services and Stewardship. This role is responsible for leading a high-impact finance function, engaging in hands-on analysis, and partnering with leadership to enhance financial decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

*REQUIRED:* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field; a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in financial planning and analysis, strategic finance, or a related discipline; ability to design and implement integrated planning, forecasting, and performance measurement frameworks in complex, multi-unit organizations; analyze and synthesize financial and operational data to deliver actionable insights; ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with hands-on analytical execution; and partner effectively with Institute and department leaders; advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, or SQL; working knowledge of financial and accounting principles; able to lead and develop staff; manage priorities, and communicate complex analyses and recommendations clearly and persuasively; and a commitment to continuous improvement, financial transparency, and innovation. *PREFERRED*: Master’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; experience building or modernizing FP&A functions; familiarity with higher education or other mission-driven organizational environments; and experience with fund accounting, capital budgeting, or long-range financial planning

Required
