Responsibilities
The Electrician Helper aids in the construction, maintenance, and repairs of electrical substations, substation equipment, transmission and underground/overhead distribution power lines. This assistance involves loading and unloading material, framing substation steel/wood works, stringing conductors, pulling underground cables and supplying the electrician with tools and material
Qualification

U.S. Citizenship Required
Must serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period
Background security investigation required
Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must be registered under the Military Selective Service Act
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a safe driving record
CDL required for this position
Indian Preference applies

Experience as an Electrician Helper aiding in construction, maintenance, and repairs of electrical substations and power lines
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision
Ability to use and maintain hand tools (Electrical Work)
Ability to use electrical drawings
Dexterity and Safety
Knowledge of Electrical Equipment
Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic)
Theory and Instruments (Electrical, Electronic) Used in Shop and Trade Practices
