The intern for the Physical Design team will work on delivering block level designs, enhancing design flows, and participating in activities related to next generation products.

Responsibilities
Deliver block level physical designs for active project
Produce physical design flow enhancements
Explore new physical design capabilities
Run experiments on block level designs and gather performance data
Learn the Physical Design Flow at Lightmatter
Participate in Physical Design activities directly related to our next generation products
In conjunction with the Physical Design team - choose an aspect of the PD flow to improve or explore. This could be a new flow capability or feature, or a new method of processing or visualizing existing data
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a graduate engineering program, preferably in an ECE, EE or Computer Engineering degree
Interest in Physical Design
Experience with Python or TCL
Understanding of Verilog RTL
Exposure to VSLI Design and/or Architecture
Understanding of Semiconductor Device Theory
Willingness to learn from an exciting team!
Preferred
Experience with Cadence Innovus, Genus, Tempus, Voltus, Virtuoso
