Menarini Stemline is hiring a Regional Sales Director for their Solid Tumor portfolio. The Regional Sales Director is responsible for managing and developing the sales representative team, implementing sales strategies, and achieving business goals within the assigned geography.

Responsibilities

Attainment of geographic business plan and revenue/product goals
Develop direct reports to enhance performance, productivity, and employee satisfaction
Formulate a local Budget and maintain budget within limits of +/- 3% of target
Business plan implementation as measured by the following: Key Account/KOL Development, Sales Team Performance and Development, New Account/Customer Acquisition, Marketing Strategy Implementation
Effective use of training, coaching, counseling, facilitating and delegating to establish the direction and environment for the professional development of staff
Provide clear performance expectations, constructive feedback and take appropriate action in managing staff including but not limited to: Field Day Coaching Evaluations, MBOs, Performance Evaluations, Performance Improvement Plan Management
Ride in Field/Observe/Coach/Train team members meeting minimum field day coaching requirements as established
Complete Field Coaching Forms to document field coaching/ride-along with sales team
Plan, develop, direct, evaluate and communicate results of area sales and marketing strategies
Maintain product knowledge of responsible product categories sufficient to be able to coach and train team members
Responsible for development and implementation of a Regional Strategic Business Plan
Developing, maintaining and improving relationships with key existing and potential customers
Manage staffing levels to anticipate needs created by business expansion, market conditions, and staffing changes
Utilize strategic account targeting framework to assess staffing needs and support business objectives
Interview and evaluate candidates using Targeted Selection process. Select the best qualified candidate in a timely manner
Responsible for establishing, maintaining and enhancing effective teamwork relationships with staff and other internal customers
Coordinate teamwork efforts with staff, colleagues and all corporate departments
Effectively implement administrative procedures, company policies, and maintain company assets
Maintain all Company assets according the company guidelines (e.g., Company Computer), and timely and accurate completion of Company reports, plans and procedures, to include but not limited to: Business Plans, Expense Reports, Company asset tracking
Demonstrate professional development and growth
Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs
Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Science related field required
Minimum of seven (7) years of successful sales experience in the biotech hematology and oncology sector
Minimum of three (3) years frontline sales management experience required
Experience with other market-leading pharmaceutical or biotech organizations
Proven sales track record
Strong business acumen with the ability to define and effectively communicate the appropriate sales model to deliver results and anticipate critical issues
Solid sales and operational experience with high emphasis on analytics and Field Sales management discipline that was developed through leadership experience across the hematology and oncology disciplines
Demonstrated behavior indicating a relentless attitude for winning
Demonstrated ability to persevere
Demonstrated principled leadership, including change management, and unyielding business and personal ethics; Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and maintaining honesty, integrity, and excellent work ethic
Develop and implement business plans as the result of analyses and assessments
Oversees the formulation of sales strategies and tactical execution
Ability to lead a team, influence others, and handle increasing levels of responsibilities
Possess strong analytical skills and is able to identify and provide solutions to complex issues
Knowledge of sales and marketing principles
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment
Executive-level verbal and written communication skills
Highly advanced organizational and interpersonal skills are essential
Understanding of industry trends and competitive strategy outlook in order to identify opportunities
Set of diverse experiences affording the individual a broad business perspective as well as the ability to anticipate critical issues for the organization
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and CRM Platforms
Ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service oriented attitude
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
Build Compliance into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all Federal and State requirements
Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to the job function)
Travel requirement of approximately 75%

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
Operational experience in the breast cancer therapeutic area preferred
