Assistant Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) – Campus Services & Stewardship (CSS)

Leads the evolution of a high-impact finance function supporting a $4B capital plan and an operational portfolio of $270M
Builds and modernizes a strategic FP&A capability
Engages in hands-on analysis and execution
Partners with CSS and Institute leadership to design data-driven planning processes
Deliver actionable insights
Strengthen financial decision-making
Leads budgeting, forecasting, and operational and performance reporting
Develops KPIs and analytical tools
Builds a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and financial rigor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in financial planning and analysis, strategic finance, or a related discipline
Ability to design and implement integrated planning, forecasting, and performance measurement frameworks in complex, multi-unit organizations
Analyze and synthesize financial and operational data to deliver actionable insights
Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with hands-on analytical execution
Partner effectively with Institute and department leaders
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, or SQL
Working knowledge of financial and accounting principles
Able to lead and develop staff
Manage priorities, and communicate complex analyses and recommendations clearly and persuasively
A commitment to continuous improvement, financial transparency, and innovation
Preferred
Master's degree in business, finance, or a related field
Experience building or modernizing FP&A functions
Familiarity with higher education or other mission-driven organizational environments
Experience with fund accounting, capital budgeting, or long-range financial planning
