Responsibilities

Maintains working knowledge of Federal Student Aid Handbook, as well as any other federal, state, and local regulations for administering financial aid
Advises prospective students, continuing students, and regarding financial aid application procedures, verification procedures, financial aid eligibility requirements, student facing college financial aid information and policies, and the availability of federal, state, and institutional financial aid
Assists students with providing the documentation necessary to process verification and/or incomplete files needed to determine aid eligibility
Performs verification on selected student financial aid files
Updates Satisfactory Academic Progress on individual students
Imports ISIR from Department of Education, manages corrections, and COD records
Handles confidential material and communications; adheres to FERPA
Runs daily financial aid reports
Assists at front counter & working with students

Required

60 college semester credit hours or 18 months of full-time related experience and/or training in processing student financial aid at the postsecondary level; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

An Associate degree and two years of full-time experience processing student financial aid at the postsecondary level
