Intern - HP Training Division (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is offering a summer internship in the HP Training Division. The intern will assist with various academy logistics, support youth and trooper academy activities, and perform administrative tasks such as data entry and scheduling appointments.

Responsibilities
Support academy logistics and documentation
Assist with Youth Trooper Academy
Assist with SDHP Trooper Academy
Enter and retrieve data
Schedule appointments
Draft correspondence, memos, and messages
Coordinate with law enforcement instructional staff
Work within Records Management System (RMS)
Shadow troopers working in the field
Assist with other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
