Responsibilities

Quality Control Implementation: Establish and maintain quality control systems to ensure products meet required specifications
Issue Investigation: Identify, investigate and resolve manufacturing quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective actions
Process Auditing: Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to verify compliance with established standards
Customer Escape Containment: Assist in customer escape containment and resolution processes by gathering data, analyzing defects and contributing to corrective actions as part of a team
Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) Reduction: Participate in cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction and production stop activities by supporting root cause analysis and applying approved corrective measures
Documentation Review: Help verify accuracy in prints and acceptance criteria, contributing to defect identification, disposition and deviation processes while adhering to established quality protocols
Quality Support & Collaboration: Provide quality support for operations, working closely with production teams to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvements. Support the resolution of complex quality issues, utilizing advanced problem-solving tools to identify root causes and implement effective preventative measures
Metrics & Feedback Utilization: Utilize quality feedback and metrics to identify opportunities for design and process improvements, sharing insights with leaders, partners and other key stakeholders
Team Support: Support other quality engineers in their work, setting standards and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the quality engineering team
Industry Trends & Innovation: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, make improvement recommendations to leadership based on new insights
Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable company policies and rules
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required
Communicate effectively and respectfully with others

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a similar technical field
3-5 years of progressive experience in quality engineering focusing on manufacturing quality within the electrical industry or a related industry
Demonstrated experience in participating in quality improvement projects. Proven ability to support quality problem resolutions
Good knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack-up analysis
Some experience with statistical analysis tools used for quality analysis
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001
Some experience in process analytics with a broad knowledge of quality tools and industry metrics
Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the quality function
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced working environment
Rounded attention to detail with an analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation). Able to liaise with key stakeholders outside the quality function in technical and non-technical roles and present compelling information to achieve buy-in
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc), including excellent Excel skills and experience using Power BI

Preferred

Master's Degree in Engineering or a similar technical field
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certification from ASQ
