CPH is a multi-disciplined Engineering and Architectural design firm that ranks in the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. They are seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to learn engineering tasks and collaborate with the design team while complementing their academic knowledge. The intern will perform roadway design tasks, assist in technical report preparation, and coordinate with various agencies and parties associated with projects.

Responsibilities

Perform roadway design tasks including horizontal and vertical alignments, typical sections, drainage and hydraulic analysis, erosion control plans, quantity tabulations, cost estimates, and general plan production

Working in collaboration with the design team to assist in preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations and construction documents

Assist with preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction

Coordination with permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors and other parties associated with the project

Periodic travel to perform site investigations, and construction observation

Review of specifications and shop drawings, field observations, preparation of inspection reports and other construction administration tasks

Research, interpretation and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements

Required

B.S. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering and/or working towards obtaining a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited institution

Ability to consistently work 15-20 hours a week throughout the year is required
