Responsibilities

Responsible for installing Electronic Security Systems to specific guidelines and requirements
Read and interpret electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical schematics
Read and interpret building construction plans (blueprints)
Be familiar with and use test equipment such as multimeters and cable testers (e.g., Fluke, Klein, Ideal)
Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security wiring & power circuits

Required

Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
At least two (2) years of experience working with Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Closed-Circuit Television systems, to include installation, modification, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
Experience for qualifications must be within the last three (3) years
Must have a current DoD 'Top Secret' security clearance with the eligibility to upgrade to 'SCI'
Must be able to reach, climb, stoop, & kneel up to 75% of the time
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred

Able to use basic hand tools and test equipment
Able to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment, be detailed orientated, and self-motivated
Strong verbal communication skills
Manufacturer's certification or technical training is highly desirable (Lenel, Security+. CISSP)
Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and practices such as grounding and electrical safety
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products and Adobe Acrobat
OSHA 10- or 30-hour Safety Certification
CPR and First Aid Certification
Four (4) years of experience as a technician with installation or maintenance of electronics/electrical systems including, but not limited to: Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems, Closed Circuit Television, Intercom Systems, Mass Notification Systems, IP Network Infrastructure, Conduit Installation, Low Voltage Electrical Systems
Knowledge of TCP/IP Network Systems and Topology
