Data Operations Manager
Pearl Health is dedicated to empowering primary care providers and health systems in the shift to value-based care. As a Data Operations Manager, you will ensure the accuracy and reliability of data that powers the platform, managing data exchanges and optimizing workflows to support rapid growth.

Responsibilities
Own the data flow: Manage inbound and outbound data exchanges, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all systems and vendor integrations
Build scalable systems: Partner with Engineering and Platform Development to improve how data from disparate sources (CMS, MA payers, HIEs, vendors) is acquired, validated, and delivered
Monitor and maintain performance: Establish dashboards and monitoring processes to track SLAs, delivery performance, and data quality metrics across all pipelines
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Product, Engineering, and vendor partners (including Ursa and Quantician) to coordinate data ingestion, troubleshoot issues, and support new integrations
Problem-solve under pressure: Diagnose and resolve complex data issues quickly, balancing short-term fixes with long-term process improvements
Drive operational excellence: Develop documentation, automation, and best practices that reduce manual intervention and increase reliability
Lay the foundation for growth: Help establish and lead a centralized Data Operations function responsible for ensuring data reliability and scalability across Pearl’s expanding ecosystem
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in data operations, data management, or file integration, ideally within healthcare or another data-intensive domain
Strong understanding of large-scale data pipelines and exchange workflows; familiarity with healthcare data formats (e.g., CCLF, BCDA, ADT, QRDA) preferred
Solid technical foundation—comfortable with SQL, cloud storage concepts, and common data exchange protocols
Proven ability to identify, triage, and resolve complex data quality and delivery issues
Strong organizational skills and analytical mindset; excels at creating structure, accountability, and automation in operational processes
Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with experience collaborating across Product, Engineering, and external vendors
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred
Experience with ETL or orchestration tools such as AWS Glue, Airflow, or dbt
Experience managing vendor relationships for data ingestion or integration
Prior work in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
Genuine interest in healthcare transformation and improving data reliability across the system
