Intern84 Lumber is seeking a Business Intelligence Intern to support the business intelligence needs of their teams. The intern will engage in activities such as identifying data needs, documenting business requirements, and creating training materials while gaining practical experience in technology areas.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with users to deliver analytical visualizations to allow end users to spend more time on strategic activities
Gain deep knowledge of the day-to-day activities that help achieve high customer satisfaction and translate those activities into measurable performance visuals
Develop MicroStrategy dashboards based on customer Key Performance Indicators
Develop and deliver effective data stories through high-impact data visualizations
Partner with other team members as well as cross-functional partners to support business processes and system solutions
Interpret business requirements; design, build and test reports and dashboards to ensure a high level of data quality
Provides status updates of work progress to project team and management
Develop a good working relationship with a wide range of stakeholders to design end-to-end experiences
Setup and install computer equipment (computers, monitors, network equipment, etc.)
Assist with managing technology inventory
Assist 84 Lumber associates with technology related requests/issues and general troubleshooting via Service Now
Assist with technical documentation
Assist with Project Management and general IT administration tasks
On-the-job training while gaining practical expertise in critical technology areas including Voice/data networking, firewalls, servers, security, storage and monitoring
Qualification
Required
Interest in learning about builder supply & construction industry and company business practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Strong analytical, problem-solving, deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills
A willingness to learn new technology to solve business problems
Strong attention to detail with emphasis on both quality and speed
Ability to communicate to project team, business partners and senior management with the appropriate information at each level
Interest in data visualization, advanced analytics, and finding innovative solutions to complex business questions
A curious self-starter who can figure out the next step and take the initiative to execute when appropriate
Proficiency with enterprise Business Intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, etc.)
Understanding of SQL, databases, and data models
Preferred
Pursuing BA/BS in business, data analytics or related field
