Responsibilities

Customer Discovery & Business Alignment: Engage with customers and partners to uncover underlying business challenges, functional requirements, and long-term goals. Translate these insights into clear solution strategies
Technical Strategy & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to customers, positioning how our solutions align with their business objectives without heavy sales emphasis
Solution Architecture: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical architectures, solution designs, and integration approaches tailored to customer requirements
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure customer needs are directly influencing roadmaps and go-to-market priorities
Product Demonstrations & Proof Points: Deliver compelling, high-quality solution demonstrations, proof-of-concept design sessions, and executive presentations aligned with business outcomes
Partner & Ecosystem Engagement: Work with strategic partners to co-create solutions, identify joint value propositions, and support ecosystem integration opportunities
Proposal & Documentation Support: Contribute to RFP responses, technical proposal content, and other customer-facing documents that require both business acumen and technical credibility
Market & Competitive Insights: Stay informed on emerging industry trends, evolving technologies, and competitor offerings to position our solutions effectively at both technical and business levels
Mentorship & Leadership: Guide and mentor junior Business Development Architects, sharing expertise in customer engagement methodologies, business discovery techniques, and solution design approaches
Process Optimization: Continuously improve business requirement capture methods, feedback loops between customers and engineering, and best practices for enabling scalable solution development

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
7+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Architect, Partner/Channel Engineering, Technical Marketing, or similar role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
Strong background in enterprise technology, ideally with SaaS, cloud, networking, security, AI/ML, or data-driven solutions
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience engaging with C-level executives and strategic accounts to uncover and shape customer requirements
Experience driving collaboration between business development/sales and engineering/product teams
Excellent presentation, storytelling, and consultative customer engagement skills
Sophisticated project management and organizational skills, with ability to juggle multiple accounts and priorities
Familiarity with enterprise sales processes and tools (i.e.., Salesforce) combined with hands-on familiarity with technical tools (e.g., APIs, Kubernetes, automation, software-development lifecycle)

Preferred

Professional certifications in cloud, security, or modern architecture domains (AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, etc.)
Background in high-growth startup or scale-up environments where agility and cross-functional collaboration are essential
Experience with enterprise customers in technology, artificial intelligence, or data platforms
Demonstrated ability to coach or mentor pre-sales engineers, solution consultants, or similar roles
