IT Intern-Service Desk

84 Lumber Company is currently seeking college students for a summer internship in IT. The internship aims to apply classroom instruction to real-world experiences while gaining practical expertise in technology areas.

Responsibilities

Setup and install computer equipment (computers, monitors, network equipment, etc.)
Assist with managing technology inventory
Assist 84 Lumber associates with technology related requests/issues and general troubleshooting via Service Now
Assist with technical documentation
Assist with Project Management and general IT administration tasks
On-the-job training while gaining practical expertise in critical technology areas including Voice/data networking, firewalls, servers, security, storage and monitoring

Required

Must be at least 18 years of age
Able to work with and meet established objectives, priorities and deadlines
Be pursuing a relevant field of study (computer science, information technology)
Have the ability to work, at a minimum, May through August (M-F) of the internship year
Ability to pass drug test/ consent to criminal records background check
Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs
Consistent access to reliable transportation
