The role involves managing customer invoices, processing carrier invoices, and ensuring compliance with financial documentation while contributing to a positive team environment.

Responsibilities
Manage customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Address customer inquiries regarding invoices promptly and professionally
Handle Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation efficiently
Apply payments accurately to customer accounts
Process carrier invoices and issue payments in a timely manner
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
Generate reports detailing accounts payable status
Keep carrier payment profiles up to date and maintain all required paperwork
Ensure all paperwork (e.g., Bill of Lading, POD, Scale Tickets, and customer specifications) is properly documented and compliant
Support the carrier settlement process from start to finish
Collaborate across departments to ensure the best carrier experience
Proactively communicate with carriers to collect necessary paperwork
Scan and organize paperwork into the system
Assist with AP issues as they arise
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
1–2 years of experience in accounting or a related role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of both AR and AP processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
Preferred
Previous work experience with QuickBooks is a strong plus
