Operations Support Specialist II
NEOGOV is part of the City of Jacksonville Beach, dedicated to community service. The Operations Support Specialist II performs technical and administrative work to support departmental operations, including customer interaction, data management, and project assistance.

Responsibilities
Provides administrative support, including data entry, filing, and responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
Prepares reports, presentations, correspondence, and other communication materials related to departmental activities
Interacts with customers, contractors, vendors, and citizens, answering questions, and resolving issues
Operates standard office, personal computer, and related equipment
Participates in cross-functional teams and committees to address operational challenges and initiatives
Assists with project management activities, including scheduling, budget tracking, and resource allocation
Assists in the development and implementation of training programs for operations staff
Develops and maintains databases and spreadsheets to track and analyze data
Reviews a variety of data for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to established standards and policies
Analyzes operational data and generates reports to support decision-making and performance monitoring
Coordinates work orders and service requests, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards
Operates radio dispatching and follows up on work order status as assigned
Provides technical support and assistance to field personnel as assigned
Performs related tasks as required
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma or equivalent
Two years of experience as an Operations Support Specialist I or equivalent
Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and operational assistance techniques
Thorough knowledge of the organization and functions of the assigned department
Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar, composition, and math
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain office records and to prepare accurate reports from file sources
Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform and organize work independently
Ability to follow detailed work procedures
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, associates, and the public
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
