Responsibilities

Prepare complex individual and flow through tax returns
Review mid-level complexity individual and flow through tax returns prepared by tax staff for accuracy
Research and draft memorandum involving complex tax matters
Identify tax planning opportunities
Handle and resolve tax controversies
Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
Provide supervision, training and support to the engagement staff and promote open communication to the engagement partner and manager

Qualification

CPA licenseTax return preparationTax planningMaster of Science in TaxationMulti-state tax returnsAnalytical skillsClient relationship managementLeadership skillsCommunication skillsProject managementAttention to detail

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting
CPA license or working towards it
4+ years of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting firm for high net worth individuals and the related entities
Experience with multi-state tax returns
Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client's management
Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail

Preferred

Having a Master of Science in Taxation is a plus
