The Centralized Timekeeping, Staffing and Scheduling Coordinator will oversee all timekeeping, staffing, and scheduling needs for assigned department(s)/unit(s) and assist in the development and maintenance of the master schedule.

Oversees all timekeeping, staffing, and scheduling needs for assigned department(s)/unit(s)
The oversight includes, but is not limited to, compiling, reviewing, maintaining, editing, and recommending, all actions related to staffing, scheduling, and timekeeping for assigned department(s)/unit(s)
Assists with the development of the master schedule and continuously processing, updating, and correcting all materials related to the master schedule and reporting

Required

Equivalent to graduation from high school and three (3) years of clerical experience in a healthcare setting
Recent administrative experience as Office Specialist, Secretary, etc
Experience in Kronos and timekeeping
Recent documented experience in an Acute Care / Hospital setting
Knowledge of staff scheduling practices and procedures
Knowledge of manual and electronic scheduling system
Knowledge of timekeeping systems
Knowledge of productivity and managing to targets
Knowledge of auditing time sheets and leave requests
Knowledge of record keeping, report preparation, filing methods and records management techniques
Knowledge of business arithmetic
Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations governing area of assignment
Knowledge of solving practical problems
Knowledge of department and hospital safety practices and procedures
Knowledge of patient rights
Knowledge of infection control policies and practices
Knowledge of handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials
Knowledge of department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures
Skill in communicating with all levels of staff and management
Skill in critical thinking
Skill in tracking leaves and overtime
Skill in using initiative and judgment within established procedural guidelines
Skill in administrative writing
Skill in applying customer service techniques
Skill in effectively handling multiple tasks and related duties
Skill in telephone interaction with staff and visitors

Skill in operational procedures for information dissemination
Skill in organizing own work, setting priorities and meeting critical deadlines
Skill in using computers and related software applications
Skill in using general office equipment such as phones, copiers and facsimiles
Skill in communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties
Skill in efficient, effective and safe use of equipment
Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment
Stamina to remain seated for extended periods of time
Vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen
Hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone
Strength and agility to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or an eligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
