Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of corporate, fund, and REIT accounting, including audits and tax coordination
Oversee third-party fund administrator and property managers; review fund and property-level financials
Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external firms; manage REIT testing and compliance
Review lender/LP reporting packages; monitor covenants and insurance compliance
Direct wires and intercompany transfers; maintain corporate financial statements
Partner with principals and asset management on JV structures, portfolio analytics, and ad hoc requests
Improve processes and controls; implement scalable best practices as the firm grows
Qualification
Required
7–10+ years in accounting/finance with real estate exposure
Multifamily Real Estate Experience required
Oversight experience with fund administrators
Strong GAAP knowledge
Experience across multi-entity structures and multiple states
Advanced Excel
Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar
Clear communicator
High judgment
Bias to action in a small-team setting
Preferred
Mix of public accounting + RE private equity strongly preferred (CPA a plus)
Fluency in JV structure helpful; confident in reviewing third-party PM financials (Yardi/RealPage familiarity helpful)
Comfort coordinating audits/tax with external advisors
