Unit Associate I - Emergency Dept.

Johns Hopkins Hospital is a designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and is seeking a Unit Associate I for their Emergency Department. The Unit Associate will assist in the safe and efficient delivery of healthcare services by performing various tasks in collaboration with Nurses and the Unit Coordinator.

Responsibilities

Daily tasks include stocking items to Pyxis and supply carts
Monitoring expiration dates on items
Ensuring that patient rooms are properly stocked with supplies and linens
Restocking supply rooms
Maintaining a clean work environment
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Clinical emergency identificationHospital equipment knowledgeGeneral office skillsBasic Windows applicationsInterpersonal communication

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency/ urgent situations and to follow established procedures
Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with inter-professional staff, patients, families, visitors and other hospital employees
General office, communication equipment, cleaning equipment, knowledge of keyboarding and basic Windows applications

Preferred

Knowledge of and familiarity with hospital equipment, supplied and procedures
