Business Development VP / Sr Assoc - Philadelphia
Soul Equity Solutions is a boutique executive search firm focused on Private Equity Middle Market firms. The Vice President or Senior Associate of Business Development will expand the firm’s investment pipeline and deepen relationships across the deal origination ecosystem, primarily in healthcare and consumer industries.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with investment banks and healthcare-focused boutiques (e.g., Harris Williams, Lincoln, Lazard, Guggenheim, and Boston-based healthcare groups)
Serve as the firm’s lead point of contact for healthcare deal flow; evaluate and triage CIMs and teasers, ensuring timely internal handoff
Contribute to broader sourcing coverage across consumer and industrial tech verticals
Develop a structured calendar of banker meetings, conferences, and regional visits (Nashville, Boston, NYC, Chicago, Dallas, LA)
Track opportunities in CRM, monitor outreach activity, and ensure prompt follow-up and feedback loops with the deal team
Partner closely with investment professionals to align sourcing priorities, diligence needs, and next steps
Represent the firm externally with professionalism, reliability, and clear communication
Travel: about 40% including 10 events per year and 20 trips per year
Qualification
Required
4 to 8 years of relevant experience in private equity business development; investment banking or consulting with BD orientation; or portfolio operations with external partnership-driven responsibilities
Demonstrated understanding of healthcare market dynamics, deal nuances, and compliance considerations
Ability to support coverage across adjacent sectors such as consumer and industrial technology
Demonstrated success in origination, relationship management, or business development within the investment community
Strong financial acumen and familiarity with deal processes and transaction dynamics
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems and data analysis tools
Exceptional communication skills and executive presence; able to represent the firm credibly to senior executives and intermediaries
Highly organized, process-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders
An undergraduate degree is required
Preferred
Relevant advanced degrees are a plus
