New Grad, Entry LevelYoung Living Essential Oils is seeking a Cost Accountant I to support cost accounting and inventory control processes for their manufacturing facility. This entry-level role will assist with cost data collection, analysis, and reporting under close supervision, helping ensure accuracy in cost standards and inventory valuation.

Responsibilities
Maintain and update standard costs for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
Assist with cost roll updates and semi-annual standard cost updates
Review production orders for accuracy, including material usage, labor hours, and scrap
Reconcile inventory accounts and support cycle count/physical count activities
Support month-end close: journal entries, accruals, and reporting
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Accounting on process improvements
Assist with internal and external audit requests as needed
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; OR
Associate's degree with 2 years of accounting or manufacturing experience
A combination of education and relevant work experience may meet the requirements
Preferred
Exposure to manufacturing cost accounting or ERP inventory systems (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite)
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Internship or academic exposure to cost or inventory accounting
