InternHouston Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern who will work on outdoor construction phase activities and assist engineers with various in-office projects. The intern will be involved in structural engineering projects, including complex grade separations and large bridges.

Responsibilities
Assist with plan specifications and estimates as well as documenting construction activities
Assist with AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings and update redlines with various project set drawings
Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station
Perform work in a variety of software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, etc
Potential observation and data collection at different types of project sites
Assist with research, development and design of projects
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree
Able to work extended periods of time in outdoor conditions
Above average math and communication skills
Valid driver's license and availability for overnight travel
Preferred
Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD
