Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for credit risk assessment on transactions up to $1MM across diverse industries
Develop, implement, and maintain credit underwriting standards and risk acceptance criteria for all commercial finance verticals
Formulate and execute credit strategies that optimize portfolio profitability while effectively managing credit risk and ensuring compliance with policy standards
Lead and mentor the Working Capital credit team to achieve service level agreements (SLAs), turnaround time goals, and quality benchmarks
Evaluate and approve complex credit applications, financial analyses, and guarantor assessments to ensure sound lending decisions
Serve as a voting member of the Credit Committee and present detailed credit analyses and performance reports to senior leadership
Recommend credit policy and procedural enhancements in response to portfolio performance, market trends, and regulatory developments
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and other internal teams to ensure timely, transparent, and effective credit decisions that support business growth
Qualification
Required
10-15 years commercial credit underwriting experience in Working Capital loans
Excellent computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Self-motivated and detailed oriented with strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree (Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred) or equivalent experience
