Responsibilities
The position requires teaching five (5) classes per academic year (3/2 or 2/3 course load) and undergraduate academic advising in the Eberhardt School
The successful candidate will teach Sport Marketing, Sport Analytics, and Advanced Sport Analytics
Additional responsibilities may include the ability to teach marketing management courses and/or other core business classes based on candidate expertise
Candidates are expected to conduct and publish peer-reviewed research in sport management, sport analytics, and/or related business fields according to the expectations of the Eberhardt School
The supervision of undergraduate internships may also be included in the workload
University and Eberhardt School service are expected of all tenure-track faculty members
Qualification
Required
A doctorate in either sport management or a related business discipline is required although ABD candidates will be considered
Preferred
At least one (1) year of university teaching experience is recommended
Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated the ability to develop and execute on a scholarly research plan in the field of sport management, sport analytics, or related business area
Experience in the sport industry and participation in professional organizations are desirable
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work
