Airframe Technician
Duncan Aviation is the largest family-owned maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in the world providing complete nose-to-tail services for business aircraft. The Airframe Technician assists with testing, adjusting, and repairing airframe systems on Learjet business jets while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include performing inspections, troubleshooting, and maintaining documentation as per FAA regulations.

Responsibilities
With proper training and limited supervision can perform high quality inspections, servicing, and maintenance on a variety of airframes
Can properly use hand tools in a timely, clean, safe and professional manner with no rework
Can accurately order general aircraft parts as needed
With proper training and limited supervision, performs minor troubleshooting, function testing, and repair of aircraft systems and components
Prepares various documents for record keeping purposes, as required by Company policy and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, removal sheets, personal training log, etc.)
Demonstrates proficiency of the Duncan Aviation work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements, Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives (AD) Compliance statements, final inspection and closing of squawks and work orders
Consistently locates and uses appropriate technical data and follows verbal instructions when accomplishing assigned maintenance tasks
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Airframe Certificate required
valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Man Lift qualified
tool inventory per department tool list required
Regularly scheduled attendance required
Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs
reads small print
hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies
repetitive motion
works with moving parts and vibration
tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with aircraft maintenance
tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet
tolerates walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and in noisy environments
Must be available for all shifts
High School graduate or equivalent required
FAA Airframe Maintenance Certificate required
Two years relevant Aircraft/Business Jet maintenance experience required for Airframe Technician II
More than four years relevant Aircraft/Business Jet maintenance experience required for Airframe Technician III
More than five years relevant Aircraft/Business Jet maintenance experience on multiple models required for Airframe Lead/Master Technician
Preferred
Powerplant Certificate preferred
Entry level to two years Aircraft/Business Jet maintenance experience preferred for Airframe Technician I
FAA Powerplant Certificate preferred for Airframe Technician I
FAA Powerplant Certificate preferred for Airframe Technician II
FAA Powerplant Certificate preferred for Airframe Technician III
FAA Powerplant Certificate preferred for Airframe Lead/Master Technician
