Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a part time Host/Hostess at ARIA, an artisanal American cuisine restaurant. In this role, you will set the tone for guests by greeting them, managing reservations, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Responsibilities

Greet guests, check reservations, and log arrivals

Answer phones and manage voicemail

Escort guests to their table, provide menus, and introduce their server

Maintain cleanliness of the work area

Handle reservations and arrangements for restaurant functions

Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed

Help with BEOs for private functions

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

No prior experience required

Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions

Ability to read, speak, and write the English language, to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, and reservations

Maintain a clean environment and ensure area is always organized

Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items and multi-task

Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests

Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure
