Civil Engineer (water treatment and conveyance)

Brown and Caldwell (BC) is a full-service environmental engineering and construction firm with over 50 offices across North America. They are seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineer experienced in planning, permitting, civil site grading, drainage analysis, and design of water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems to support projects primarily with the Navajo Nation.

Responsibilities

Prepare reports, memos, designs for water/wastewater infrastructure
Site civil design to include grading and drainage analysis and design for water and wastewater infrastructure
Serve as task leader, deputy project manager on water/wastewater planning and design projects
Organize and facilitate team meetings
Support design development from concept through final design, including review of work done by others such as reports, memos, and pilot studies to determine applicability for system improvements
Participate in client and internal meetings to support and advance project work
Serve as engineer of record for final deliverables

Required

Bachelor's or Master degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Minimum 4 years of increasingly responsible experience in municipal civil engineering with focus in the municipal sector
Strong understanding of civil site design, water/wastewater infrastructure systems including pumping, treatment, and conveyance
Working knowledge of environmental laws such as the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act and related permitting frameworks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability and desire to work on multiple concurrent projects in a team environment
Ability to collaborate with remote virtual project teams
Will require periodic travel to remote locations in Southern Utah, Arizona, or New Mexico
Desire to work in challenging sometimes remote outdoor environments
