Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will provide technical and programmatic systems engineering support to the TRIDENT II missile program within SSP
The Systems Engineer will support the D5 Life Extension 2 (D5LE2) Missile Programmatic Team with various tasks related to schedule management, budget and contract, risk, and cross-branch coordination
The Engineer will directly support Missile Branch program managers and engineers in the development and execution of program schedules, technical solutions, and root cause analysis
Qualification
Required
U.S. citizen with DoD security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain clearance while employed with SPA
Bachelor's degree in STEM (preferably engineering, chemistry, physics, math)
Ability to work at Washington Navy Yard
5+ years professional engineering experience on defense programs
Exceptional writing and presentation abilities
Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
U.S. Navy Submarine Officer experience
Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP)
Experience working with DoD engineering and acquisition processes
