Regional Distributor Technical Sales Representative (Midwestern or Western US)
IPS Corporation is a global provider of solvent cements and adhesives, and they are seeking a Regional Distributor Technical Sales Representative. Responsibilities
Maximize sales and customer experience through effective account management of key distribution partners
Identify new targeted distribution partners in all substrates as needed
Onboard, train and support sales organization of distribution partners
Provide demonstrations of products and help support sales at end users as necessary
Participate in sales forecasting process
Monitor the market and provide ongoing intelligence on trends, competition, new product opportunities
Utilize outlined sales and funnel management processes using Salesforce
Maintain positive attitude and demonstrate professional behavior with internal and external customers; work collaboratively with other members of the sales, marketing, finance and operations team
Be focused on continuous improvement and process improvement
Be an advocate for the VOC (voice of the customer) with internal commercial and operations team
Field customer inquiries and provide technical product information, provide technical support via phone, video chat or in person as required
Ensure pricing and terms for customers are within established guidelines
Identify and quantify opportunities to expand product offering into the same or adjacent markets
Follow all safety guidelines for a safe work environment. Report any unsafe working conditions or behaviors to the appropriate safety manager, Director of Sales, or Human Resources Business Partner

Qualification
Required
Ability to understand and sell technical products
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Positive attitude with customer centric focus
Working knowledge of products offered or ability to learn quickly
Organized, results driven, ability to work with functional teams and work to deadlines
CRM experience, Salesforce preferred
High level of business acumen
Demonstrated negotiation skills, experience with sales process, decision making ability, and critical thinking skills
Associates degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years technical sales experience focused on distributors
Demonstrated experience calling on distributors/channels and pulling business through to the market
Track record of superior performance in high growth business
This position may require up to 70% travel
Preferred
Candidates located in the Midwestern or Western United States are preferred
Ability to speak Spanish a plus
Business development experience in countertop fabrication market is a plus
