Data Science & Analytics Internships – Summer 2026
NBCUniversal is a leading media and entertainment company, and they are seeking interns for their Summer 2026 program. Interns will contribute to significant projects in areas such as sports content analytics and consumer insights, gaining hands-on experience while learning about the sports media landscape.

Responsibilities
Act as the main source of data and insights on all things NBC Sports, providing program performance tracking, audience demographics, and forecasting
Support the NBC Sports organization with best-in-class insights to bring the best sports product to fans
Utilize multiple data management and analytics tools in day-to-day tasks
Involvement in various cross-platform projects and ownership over various weekly and daily reporting
Learn about the sports media landscape and how consumer insights support the organization across platforms and departments
Qualification
Required
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States
Must be available to work 40 hours per week from June 1 – August 7, 2026
Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
Preferred
Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Knowledge of TV Ratings, Nielsen, or data visualization/data storytelling tools like Tableau or Power BI preferred
Ability to digest large data sets - especially with ratings and viewership data
Experience with statistical programming languages (R, Python, etc.) is a plus
Interest in learning and conducting custom market research
Interest in sports and the sports media business
