Responsibilities

Work with internal/external customers to ensure orders are completed in a timely and accurate manner

Fabricates highway traffic signs. Plan work procedures and establish priorities for constructing, installing, and repairing traffic signs

Operate machines (printers, plotting cutters, laminators, panel saw, and more while maintaining the highest levels of production and quality standards. Lays out highway signs according to specifications

Must be able to operate forklifts, punch presses, shears, vacuum applicators, heat applicator machines, cutting shears, and a variety of hand and power tools

Performs routine shop functions including but not limited to equipment & shop maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep and participates in installs as necessary

Ensures that an adequate stock of sign-making materials is maintained and ensures proper storage of materials and inventory control

Estimate materials, time, and cost requirements for projects

Qualification

Digital production systemsGraphic arts experiencePrint shop operationsAdvanced computer knowledgeCommunication skills

Required

A high school degree or its equivalent is required

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Advanced computer knowledge

Face-to-face customer service experience

Working in a professional copy/print area

Knowledge of print shop operations and use of offset and other equipment related to the industries

Must be able to lift or pull 50 lbs

Preferred

At least 1 to 2 years experience as a digital production systems operator

One year of experience in graphic arts or related jobs
